'EQUINE EDGE'

Since I live on Chincoteague Island,home of the wild ponies,I decided to try my hand at my own style of a horse. I think I captured the attitude of a young male horse with the look of pride and test in his eye! Original painting was painted in acrylics. MOON OVER MEATLAND

    A full moon in October on this little Island is a magical sight to behold! Having it come up right over Meatland was almost spiritual! We all stood in awe! The next day I rode my purple bike over with pencil and paper in my basket to capture the fine architectual lines of our beloved grocery store. The play of shadows and light on the large display windows, the grocery cart line up, the plywood letters...and added in the moon that had been burned into my memory from the night before. Moon Over Meatland was created. A whimsical, yet historically correct, watercolor painting to add to my portfolio!
